The ghosts of our coasts has been a passion project of mine for the past two years, one that I am deeply committed to and plan to continue for many years to come. It focuses on the silent crisis of plastic pollution, specifically the issue of discarded fishing nets, which contribute significantly to the environmental degradation of our coastlines. This pollution not only affects marine life but also threatens the health of entire ecosystems, making it a critical issue that demands attention.

The project examines the problem from various perspectives, including the fishermen who are directly involved in the issue, the fishing industry and the crisis around over fishing, and the local communities who are taking action through beach clean-ups and conservation efforts. By documenting these different angles, the goal is to raise awareness, highlight the importance of community involvement, and inspire tangible change. Through this work, I hope to shed light on the impact of plastic pollution and demonstrate how collective efforts, big or small, can help make a real difference in protecting our oceans.
